Photography for Fun is a great way to get out of the house, explore new places, meet likeminded people, and explore ways to improve your photo skills.
We try different types of photography as part our monthly activities and learn from each other as we go along.
There’s no need for any special skills or knowledge to join in.
We meet at the Discover Downham Heritage Centre on the 4th Wednesday of each month to share photos from our previous months’ activities, discuss photography skills and play with props and lighting. In addition to the monthly meetings, we visit a variety of outdoor locations for photography.
Photo visits have included Anglesey Abbey, Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall, Ickworth House, Oxburgh Hall, Gressenhall Work House, Poppy Line Railway, Cambridge Botanical Gardens, Norwich Cathedral, Banham Zoo, Pensthorpe, Kings Lynn, Cromer and Hunstanton.
Photo visits are an optional extra to the monthly meetings. Members cover their own costs for travel, entrance fees and refreshments. Wherever possible we car share.
Whether you have a digital or phone camera, you’re welcome at Photography for Fun.
